Hybrid Contest

Information

The Hybrid Contest is a contest where users on the UG Discord can make their own hybrid and submit it to the Developers, the Submissions go through a vote with the top submissions being added to the final list. After around a week, the submission with the most votes gets added to the game with the other top submissions receiving rewards despite not being added to the game.

History

The First Hybrid Contest Begun on May 6th, 2018 with submissions having a deadline for May 18th, 2018. After this date, the top 12 submissions were choosen with the voting starting on May 20th, 2018 and ended on May 27th, 2018. The winner was Avinychus with the Top 5 Users receiving DNA Prizes, Avinychus would be added to the game on July 4th, 2018.

Despite Scylla not winning the contest, it would be added to the game on March 25th, 2022 due to being a Devasaur ingame with its owner retiring alongside the lack of its usage. Ingame, Scylla is known as Scyllaβ to prevent usage of the Hybrid as a Devasaur in older maps.

The Second Hybrid Contest Begun on February 6th, 2024 with submissions had a deadline for February 27th, 2024. After this date, the top 10 submissions have begun the proccess of being choosen with the proccess of selecting the top 10 started on February 27th, 2024 and ended on March 5th, 2024. After the top 10 got selected, the voting begun on March 8th, 2024 and ended on March 18th, 2024 on a different map. The Top 3 Submissions were Alametus, Dolichomalasaur, and Fasolatherium, they will be added to the game with the Top 3 Users receiving DNA Icon 1,000,000 with their submissions unlocked for free while the 4th to 10th submissions reciving DNA Icon 500,000.

The 2018 Hybrid Contest begun on May 6th, 2018 and ended on May 27th, 2018 with submissions deadline on May 18th, 2018. It had 1 Winner and 1 Submission added to the game at different times with the other 10 submissions making it to the final list.
